I have had a personal checking account at this bank for about 2 years, I have worked the same job for the last 2 years, my employer pays every 2 weeks, every 2 weeks for the last 2 years I had been taking my payroll check to the bank to either cash or deposit, then approx a month ago a teller told me she would have to put a hold on it, after telling her the above story of the check and the history she stated she still had to put a hold on it. I told her to call the manager or whoever was over the bank to find out why. She called Linda Leonard, VP of Danridge First Peoples Bank who stated to still put a hold on it. I asked the teller there while she was on the phone to let me speak with Linda but she refused so I drove from the Wal Mart Branch in Jefferson City to Dandridge to speak to Linda, she stated she still had to put a hold on it. No argument incurred, no hateful words etc., I just informed Linda I didnt agree with the decision then left. The next day I called the main branch in Jefferson City and spoke with the president of all the banks, Darrell, to tell him about the situation and he agreed with Linda so I told him I didnt agree but oh well, approx. a month later (out of the blue) and nothing else being said, and me still using the bank I received a letter in the mail from Linda Leonard stating due to the banks inability to service my account it was being closed?????? When and how that came off I still dont know???? I guess one cant even ask a question of why they chose to hold a check that had never been held before with out being *Cast out* like a leper???
